Technology Support Services department provides South Texas College with superior workstations service and support through the use of well-trained professional technicians.
Accommodating technological advances requires us to continually upgrade our knowledge, practices, and procedures to stay in step with those advancements. As such, TSS Support fills a very challenging I.T. role. It is responsible for the hardware build of the computer, the stable configuration of an operating system, the proper installation of application software, and the support of a myriad of peripheral devices. Because the desktop workstation is susceptible to many points of failure, the Technology Support Services technician becomes the face of the I.T. organization and represents the department as they work through the resolution of the problem. It is through knowledge and skills that we alleviate some of the challenges and achieve a measure of consistency in the support of our services.
