One Username, One Password Initiative

Introduction

Technology Resources is implementing the “One username, One password” initiative to facilitate access to computer systems used throughout the college. With this initiative, students, faculty, and staff will be able to log into computers and several applications such as Jagnet, Jagmail, faculty/staff e-mail, Argos, WebFOCUS, and Blackboard using one username and one password.

All students, faculty and staff will be required to use one username, and one password to log into the applications listed above. For faculty and staff it will be the employee account, which is the username and password currently used to log into the computers. For students, the username that should be used will be the username currently used to log into Jagnet. Their password will be the the letter A, date of birth, and the last 4 digits of the A# (Ammddyy####).

myPassword

myPassword is a self service password management system that will allow users to reset or change their password. Users will be required to change their password every 180 days when the one username, one password initiative is implemented. To access myPassword go to https://mypassword.southtexascollege.edu. The first step will be to complete your profile by clicking on the “Edit My Profile” link. From there, follow the instructions provided to complete your profile and change your password.
